The event, presented by Visit Fort Lauderdale, is the first pride event to focus on an entire continent with guests expected from Alaska to Argentina and everything in between.

This year marks the 9th year in a row that the readers of SFGN voted us Best Gay Guesthouse and Best Men’s Day Spa Cabanas Guesthouse. For the first time, Spa Cabanas was awarded the category of Best Massage Therapist.

Twenty-three years ago, what’s now the Cabanas Guesthouse and Spa was a quiet apartment rental complex called Sante Fe Landings. At first glance, this modest (and quite neglected) property didn’t seem like much. John Dorry and Bill Barnish (his partner) bought the property with the initial idea of it being strictly for investment purposes. However, when approached with the proposition of turning it into an elite all-male gay resort, Bill and John saw the potential for something greater, and so was the start of The Cabanas Guesthouse.
