On this special occasion, we want to express gratitude to all our friends and guests who have made the Cabanas Guesthouse and Spa an award-winning place to stay. We are grateful for our devoted and tireless staff and take immense pride in the outstanding hospitality they provide. We also extend special thanks to our wonderful Men's Day Spa partner, Spa Cabanas, for treating our guests and local visitors with constant pampering. Happy Thanksgiving! Michael, originally an Iowa and Nebraska native, had spent most of his early life growing up in the agricultural Midwest, surrounded by farm life and enduring tough, cold winters. This eventually led Michael to desire a change in lifestyle and climate. In 2017, he decided he had enough of the cold winters, so he sold his house and business and headed to South Florida for a new, warmer chapter in his life.

The Cabanas Guesthouse, located in the heart of Gay Fort Lauderdale (Wilton Manors), was recently awarded Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Award! We are excited to have been selected for such an award and look forward to serving our guests with an experience that is nothing short of excellence.

Living in South Florida, I have my pick of many clothing-optional guest houses to stay at but there is one, for the life of me, I have not sunken my “teeth” into. Less than four miles from my home and right in the gay heart of Southern Florida in Wilton Manors, the Cabanas Guesthouse and Spa has been on my radar ever since I moved here in 2013. I pass it often, dozens of times a year, but I’ve never stopped in.

The Cabanas Guesthouse is delighted to host Australian Olympic Diver Matthew Mitcham during October for his induction into the International Swimming Hall of Fame. Having achieved the highest single-dive score in Olympic history at the 2008 Olympic Games, in Beijing, China, Matthew executed an extremely difficult dive (two-and-one-half somersault with two-and-one-half twists in the pike position) for his final dive. The judges awarded him four 10s, making history and acquiring him the gold medal for this event, while also being the first openly gay male to win an Olympic Gold Medal.

Located in Wilton Manors, the Cabanas Guesthouse is the ideal place to get a day pass and enjoy the Wicked Manors 2022 Halloween Event! A premier Halloween event in South Florida, Wicked Wilton is unlike anything else with thousands of attendees, bars, clubs, a costume contest and more. This historic, Halloween block party takes place on Halloween night (October 31st from 6:00 PM until 11:00 PM) all along Wilton Drive, which blocks off traffic for everyone to safely enjoy the event.
